2. Beautiful Backyard Wedding

    • The Details:
      • Don’t want to spend much on a venue, try your backyard!
      • Stacey’s parents have the most stunning backyard. When we went for our first site visit I knew it was the perfect place for a wedding.
      • Lux Events helped the Stacey & Kyle with the backyard layout including working around some gorgeous flower beds and gardens. We lined the aisle with roses and the couple were married under an arbour on a raised patio.
      • Stacey’s parents planted yellow flowers to match Stacey & Kyle’s wedding colours of yellow & grey. Even though the backyard was full of guests, the wedding was incredibly intimate and really captured Stacey & Kyle’s happy go lucky personalities. Read More about their wedding.

3. Sheraton Cavalier Hotel

    • The Details:
      • We looked for a venue for quite a while for this couple. I knew the venue had to capture their glam and artistic personalities. I found the the perfect venue for their ceremony and reception at the Top of the Inn at the Sheraton. They wanted autumn to be an element of their decor, and so having the large windows overlooking the riverbank was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Lux Events was onsite and flipped the room from ceremony to reception in time for their cocktail hour.
      • We made sure to place the dance floor by the windows on the city side of the room so they had the city lights as their backdrop for the dance. The tree they were married under doubled as their backdrop for their cake cutting. We were their for Belinda and Travis every step of the way- from start to finish.

4. Northern Forest
All photos by me!

    • The Details:
      • Saskatchewan is known for it’s gorgeous Northern forests, this wedding definitely showcased them!
      • This wedding was challenging but so incredibly rewarding to help plan. The logistics of this wedding took months to plan, and a team to execute.
      • Mark & Kristina were married in a northern forest on the Flora Bora property by Christopher Lake.
      • Not only did we have to have a backup plan in case of rain (or wind!) that took almost as much planning as the real thing, we had to pull power and transport 60 people from the parking lot, to the ceremony and then dinner area which was quite the trek, literally in the middle of a forest! We had to level the ground on the hill overlooking the lake so that guests had a level place to sit.
      • Their day was perfect. Actually perfect. The weather couldn’t have been better all of our planning paid because it was the most interesting wedding I’ve planned to date!

5. TCU Place

    • The Details:
      • Casey & Scott were married at Knox United Church and had their reception at TCU Place.
      • Lux Events brought in Production Lighting to create a fabulous backdrop and lighting on the walls to carry out their tree theme at their reception.
      • Casey & Scott cut, treated and transported branches used for their centrepieces. Blossoms Living added orchids to the branches and we had beautiful pintuck lines and chivari chairs. The guest book, favours and seating chart all had the branch theme which was both modern and classic.

All of the above weddings were individually created to cater to each couple’s imagination. When you sit down with Lux Events, we get a deep understanding about what is important to both you and your families. We bring out all of the small details that we know will make a difference to you and details your guests will remember for years to come.
